Industrial Unmanaged PoE Ethernet Switch

The HUS-IDM-F21SPP is a rugged, unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch featuring PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt) support for high-power devices. It combines a gigabit PoE++ Ethernet port with an SFP fiber uplink, delivering both data connectivity and up to 90W of power in one compact unit. Designed for demanding environments, this switch offers an extended operating temperature range, dual power inputs for redundancy, and robust surge protection. Its plug-and-play design simplifies deployment, making it ideal for powering remote IP cameras, wireless access points, and industrial sensors without separate power sources.

Frequently Asked Questions ?

What is PoE++ and how is it different from PoE+?

PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt) is the latest generation of Power over Ethernet, offering significantly higher power output than earlier standards. While PoE+ (802.3at) provides up to 30W per port, PoE++ can deliver up to 90W per port. This higher power budget supports more demanding devices like PTZ security cameras, high-performance wireless access points, or industrial LED lighting that PoE+ cannot adequately power. PoE++ is also backward compatible with PoE and PoE+ devices, so it can safely power older 802.3af/at equipment at their normal wattage.

Unmanaged industrial switches are simple plug-and-play devices that require no configuration. This simplicity makes them easy to deploy and highly reliable in environments where network settings are straightforward. They are also more cost-effective than managed switches and introduce no complex software that could fail, which is an advantage for mission-critical systems. In industrial applications where basic connectivity is sufficient and advanced features (like VLANs, traffic monitoring, or remote management) are not needed, an unmanaged switch provides a robust, maintenance-free solution.

PoE++ industrial switches are deployed wherever network devices need both data connectivity and high power in challenging environments. Typical applications include powering IP surveillance cameras (especially power-hungry PTZ or infrared models) in remote or industrial sites, providing connectivity and power to wireless access points across large facilities, and running industrial IoT equipment such as sensors, controllers, or display panels. By delivering up to 90W per port, a PoE++ switch simplifies installation for devices that would otherwise require separate power cabling. These switches are commonly used for high-power network devices like advanced cameras, Wi-Fi access points, digital signage displays, or PoE lighting systems, enabling reliable operation in factories, transportation systems, smart cities, and other harsh environments
